6. To provide and give technical advice to people of everage means especially to all others for the construction of their dwelling and lodging with the aforasid material, product, things and articles which reduce the cost of construction.
   
7. To purchasr , take on kesson or in exchange or other wise acure any rural or personal property, patents, licenses, rights, privileges.

These two works are one of the paramount importance of Karachi and occupy a unique position as you know that at the time of Independence Karachi has supplies of water approximately 16 MGD for assessed population just over the four lacs. The population of this city has increased over 10 Lacs by 1951 and the inhabitance were experiencing cute shortage of water by the population kept on increasing and Karachi was greadually development itself into a commercial cum industrial city government therefore visulation and formulated a scheme called greater Karachi bulk water supply water trunk main scheme thus the greater Karachi bulk water supply scheme was for bringing ultimately water up to 280 MGD and was divided in to four phase each of 70 MGD KDA has explaied the position of water supply as it was in 1962 at that time at Karachi have effective supply of 85 million gallon per day was utilizing only 55 MGD per year during the last six years up to the summer of 1976 1963 1964 1965 there was insufficient rainfall in Karachi because of absanse of flow in Malir river as a result of the wells at Dumlotee were dry and the supply was reduced barely to 2 MGD.

During the last four years the rate of industrial growth has advance repaidly with the result that there is a constant migration of population job opportunities this resulted in more increasing in demand of portable water than anticipated in 1962 After that time there was uncertainty about the effect on Karachi by the shifting of the capital to rawalpindi it has however been found that inspite of shifting of the cable the population of the Karachi continues to multiply this increase was not expected government had taken a decision to site petro ghemical industries in the koringi area KDA to supply water at 15 MGD. This new need was not possible to be made until the water supply is audmented the national refinery had also pledged a demand for further supply of 5 MGD.

Due to shortage of Water persons residing in displaced persons colony townships were suffering as those colonies were located at some distance from the centre of Karachi ; the effected population is over ten lacs of persons. Without the increase in the supply of water problems of the dwellers will remain unsolved. Atomic Energy Commission had preferred a demand for supply of water at Buleji and Suparco in Hub Choki Road.

Karachi Municipal Corporation was erecting an Abattoir and a cattle colony in landhi meaning to use 3 MGD of water. The first part of this project is sanctioned for bringing in, processing and filteration of 25Mgd, the problem of shortage could not be solved as the demand would have increase by about another 40 MGD during the succeeding years beginning from 1966 up till this time when the first part of the second phase of the project is completed.

After considering and allowing the effect and aspects manifested the authorization concerned called for an International Tender we also participate with our collaborates a frim a international repute messrs degermount of france, who are specialicts and experts in water supply and filteration plant. The work was awarded to us specific instruction that we have to achieve completion in the earliest possible time or shall we say much earlier than the schedule fixed and if we do so, a bonus was declared.By the Grace of God we undertook the work and completed it six months ahead of schedule and earned bonus of Rs.1million.This is for the first time in the history of the country that local firm was awarded a bonus for early completion of a job of a very important and special nature.
